Heritage Institute of Technology has been established by Kalyan Bharti Trust (KBT). The institute was started with the motto of providing good higher education to the students in the area. The institute has received NAAC accreditation of ‘A’ with a 3.13 CGPA. The institute has also scored autonomous status from UGC.

The institute also has NBA approval for required courses.HIT has signed numerous MoUs, both national and international with various companies, organisations for industrial training, internships, industrial visits, and many more.
