Established in 1965 by the University of Mumbai, JBIMS Mumbai is accredited by the AICTE. It is one of the oldest B-schools in India with a legacy of over 52 years.

Bajaj Institute Mumbai was the 1st institute in India to offer a full-time 2-year Master’s in Management Studies (MMS). The college offers MMS programme to around 150-160 students, and the majority of the seats are reserved for Maharashtra domicile candidates. The college offers various programmes to students at the UG, PG, and PhD levels. These courses are offered in specialisations like Management and Human Resources.
