Crimea Federal University, established in 1918, is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Russia. Located in the city of Simferopol, the university was originally founded as the Medical Faculty of Crimea State University. Over the years, it has gained recognition from leading medical authorities, including the NMC (National Medical Commission), WHO (World Health Organization), and others.
The university traces its roots back to the founding of Taurida University. In 1921, it was renamed M.V. Frunze Crimea University, and later in 2014, it became officially known as Crimean Federal University. That same year, Crimea State Medical University was integrated into the V.I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University, further enhancing its academic strength and global reputation. Today, Crimea Federal University is considered one of the top choices for pursuing MBBS in Russia, especially among Indian students.
